Family Support Program

The Family Support Program provides opportunities for children and youth to connect and practice social and life skills through facilitated play and activities. This is done in a primarily group based format; however individual support is available to work on specific goals identified by parents or caregivers. Parenting and sibling support is also offered throughout programming.

The Family Support Program receives referrals from the Ministry for Children and Family Development. This program is available to families with a child/youth up to age 19 who is identified as having special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, the At Home Program and/or a diagnosis of IQ under 70. Parents can obtain a referral to the Family Support Program from a Child and Youth Special Needs (CYSN) Social Worker at the Ministry for Children and Family Development. The Social Worker will screen for eligibility.
